Erica Augsten

Registered Physiotherapist, MScPT

Erica has experience working with a range of clients from athletes to those with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She began building her active approach while working as an athletic therapist for the University of Lethbridge women’s hockey team. She then moved to London, England to pursue her MSc in Physiotherapy at Brunel University London.

Following her MSc, Erica worked with a range of patients in both the public and private sectors in London, focusing on a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. She centers her practice around building her patient’s self-efficacy to help them reach their goals through individualized rehabilitation programs alongside manual treatment techniques and education. Erica has a keen interest in the management of running and sports-related lower limb injuries and tendon health. Recently, she has completed The Running Clinic’s “Fundamentals of Running Injuries” course.

Erica is a firm believer that ‘Movement is Medicine’, and following her collegiate days as a soccer player at the University of Lethbridge has continued to play competitively in the Metro Women’s Soccer League. Alongside soccer, she enjoys getting outdoors to run and hike, strength training in the gym, and winding down with yoga. When she is not on the pitch or in the clinic, you can find her searching for a good cup of coffee or cheering on Liverpool F.C.
